Meet David
14 year technician and installer. Two years as a selling tech. $35,000,000 sold 2020-2025 as a Comfort Advisor.
310% install revenue increase. Twelve months.
Training that took $572,000 to $2.34 million in 12 months.
Not by a consultant who flew in, trained for a day, and disappeared. From someone who can still braze, and knows better than to forget the nitrogen purge.
I know what a homeowner looks like when they've already said no twice before you got there.
2005 to 2018 — tech. Attics, crawl spaces, ductwork in places that weren't designed for human beings. I
know what a system looks like when three different companies have touched it.
2018 to 2020 — both. Still running installs, and closing replacements at the same kitchen table the same
day. That's where Subtlety Selling came from. Not a classroom. The overlap.
2020 to 2025 — Comfort Advisor. $35 million in system replacements. Top 10 Trane dealer in North Carolina — and the only company on that list running a single Comfort Advisor.
In the overlap years I watched reps pitch, and I watched customers give in. Not buy. Give in. There's a difference and your average ticket knows it.
So I started from scratch. Direct questions. Simple language. A little blunt. Built the way people actually decide rather than the way training says they should. I read psychology, language, decision-making — then tested it on someone who had no business being in sales….
Someone like:
My former install apprentice. The guy who told me flat out he'd never sell.
Sixty days of training. First month at the table: $250,000. He still averages that. Every month.
Then I took it to a company. Climate Express did $572,000 in residential install revenue the year before me. $2.34 million at the end of twelve months with me. Same market, same trucks, same guys.
They didn't get there because I motivated anybody. They got there because nobody had ever shown them that the thing they were already good at was the sale.
I work with independent HVAC owners across the country. All remote, except when you want me in your building.
I'm not in the field selling anymore. I'd rather build this method into your company and take care of as many customers as I can.
